Making the Most of Your Business Holiday Greeting Cards

There is no better time than the holidays to send good cheer to the people who are most important to your business. And here's more proof that by doing so, you can actually help your business' bottom line.

According to a recent, national survey by Hallmark Business Expressions, 73 percent of responses indicated positive responses to receiving a greeting card from a business, saying they appreciate the gesture, feel like the sending company genuinely cares about them, and are more likely to do business with the company.

Sending a holiday business greeting card is a simple and effective way to reach out to your business contacts. But who should you send cards to? Here's everything you need to know about maximizing the effects of your holiday business greeting cards.

Make a List
When making your recipient list, be sure to include those who mean the most to your business. This could include customers, clients and vendors.Remember your employees, too. They help your business run every day, so take this opportunity to express your sincere gratitude for all they do.

Check it Twice
Make sure you have a current mailing address for each person on your list.If you don't have a current address, but know you'll see the person sometime during the holiday season, have the card ready so you can give it to your contact in-person. Also double-check the spelling of names, titles, companies, etc. Don't let a spelling mistake undermine the sincerity of your gesture!

Choose Carefully
Choose a holiday greeting card that best reflects your business' personality. Remember to select a genuine, yet office-appropriate card and sentiment, as the recipient may display the card for others to see. Check out Hallmark Business Expressions' collections of business holiday greeting cards.

Make it Personal
Take a few moments to sign each card in ink. Try to include a short message to each recipient, as well. You can thank a customer for his or her business, thank a vendor for continued excellent service, or thank an employee for helping the business each day.

Send Sincerely
Whenever possible, mail your holiday card to each recipient. Send cards first class, hand-affix a postage stamp and hand-address the envelope. This prevents your card from looking like part of a mass mailing.

With a little time, a beautiful card and a few postage stamps, you can spread holiday cheer and your genuine thanks to those who matter most to your business. And more importantly, you'll encourage customer loyalty - a lovely holiday gift to any business.
